the reason I haven’t talked much about Cosmos is because I’m very disheartened

the art style is plain and of course 90s inspired

it’s all about the 90s

and they truly completely fucked “nagareboshi e”

I hate everything already

    Sooo disappointed! It’s so sad to me that the reboot for Crystal started kinda excited, and the whole thing has fallen this hard. As the finale, this should have been so much more epic and exciting, and even beautiful.

    I hate that super fast animation “effect” they do (especially all the rocks and explosions?), there’s a couple of decent looking shots, but the art style and animator are still the main issue. I can’t take it seriously that Usagi has aged when she looks so young still, and they look younger than they did in Crystal because the art style is so kiddy looking in comparison.

    And while I’m happy for all the seiyuu, because a few of them talked about growing up with Sailor Moon and how excited they are to be in it, I just feel like this is such a step backwards for the series when it comes to fandom. BSSM is not going to grow with a newer generation if they keep regressing and appealing to the exact same people, and even those 90s fans are wishy washy.

    Nagareboshi He is the biggest disappointment. I thought they’d keep it smooth and like a jazzy ballad. But they sped it up randomly and it just sounds… like it’s wannabe pop? But they don’t even know the genre or sound they want for it? I just hope that now that Cosmos is here, Nagreboshi He will actually make it to any new rearrange CDs and get a better version. (But even those are lazy; the first one was great, every one after is meh.)

    I hope the next time BSSM gets a new, big anime reboot, the 90s fans have let go and won’t influence it again, because this could have been so much better without pandering to them and being lazy in quality because they don’t actually care.

      the art style is MOE the worst bs ever, that makes everyone look like an 8year old. the fast animation is there to help the animators draw less frames.
      the detailed art style and animation of the crystal 1-2 is high art

      also they went and got the one 90s animator with the ugliest art style
      everyone looks not only young and plain but ugly as well.

      the nostalgia won
      we lost everything

      nagareboshi e is the nail in the coffin.
      as for hopes for the future

      sailor moon is a cash cow TOEI will never let it go

      and I don’t think they mistreated it with SMC 1-2 it was later after they got death threats and saw how fucking entitled the western fans are that they said fuck it, they want nostalgia im gonna give them nostalgia.

      it’s the fandoms fault. they got what they wanted after all, we the crystal fans lost everything
